- Present professional, theatrical productions and to provide artists, such as actors, playwrights and craftsmen in lighting and design who are not regularly employed, an opportunity to sharpen their crafts.
- Give our community an opportunity to see professional theater at affordable prices.
- Develop new talent in our workshops.
- Afford those who are unable to pay (i.e. persons in shelters, outpatients, etc.) an opportunity to see our productions free-of-charge, providing an enticement which allows our community and surrounding area residents to view and experience not only family entertainment (dramas, mysteries, comedies) but also Educational Theatre, which is particularly vital to inquiring minds.

Players are proud to present, in honor of Black History and Women’s History Months, their Winter production of Louise Mike’s dynamic play, “ARYÉ”, directed by Ward Nixon and featuring the award winning actress, Kimberlee Monroe*. This beautiful, historical drama, with original music and songs, traces the roots of a young Black woman’s ancestry, focusing on three generations…from the coasts of Africa, to the plantation days in this country, up to the present day. Despite generational differences, these three strong Black women who lived in very different time periods, share a common bond, tightly linking these women from generation to generation…out weighing any perceived differences. A drama for the whole family…sure to strengthen, enlighten, motivate, educate and inspire. A play you don’t want to miss!
“ARYÉ” will play from February 28 through March 11, 2012, at The Harlem School of the Arts Theatre, located at 647 St. Nicholas Avenue, at 142nd Street in Harlem.
The Show Dates and Times are Tuesday’s through Saturday’s at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday’s at 2:30 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE H.A.D.L.E.Y. PLAYERS NOW PRESENT 6 SHOWS PER WEEK FOR A CONSECUTIVE TWO WEEK PERIOD. AGAIN, TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY (6 SHOWS) FOR WEEK 1, AND, TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY (6 SHOWS) FOR WEEK 2. THIS NEW SCHEDULE “REPLACES” THEIR PREVIOUS WEEKEND ONLY SCHEDULE.
Ticket Prices are $20 or two for $30, General Admission; $15 for Seniors, Students or Groups of five or more; and $8 for Children under 12.
The Preview dates with FREE WILL OFFERING (Donations Only) are Tuesday, February 28th and Wednesday, February 29th at 7:30 p.m.
DINNER THEATRE will take place on Sunday, March 4th at 2:30 p.m. The ticket price will be $25 for everyone. This includes a Dinner Reception and Refreshments immediately following the show.
